Welcome, traveler of the internet! Below you’ll find our light-hearted but legally sufficient privacy policy. This is the fine print. Except, it’s bigger, funnier, and hopefully more understandable.
Who We Are
Hi! I’m Ryan, aka NUEXGUY. This website is a digital playground where I post sketchbook dumps, drawings with wild limbs, and the occasional fan art tribute. The URL is: https://nuexguy.com. That’s me. That’s here.
Comments
When you leave a comment (which you should totally do), we collect the info you enter in the comment form (like name and email), along with your IP address and browser info to keep bots and trolls at bay.
If you use Gravatar, an anonymous version of your email might be sent over to see if you’ve got a cool little avatar to show next to your words. You can read their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. If your comment gets approved, your avatar becomes part of the public conversation. Fancy.
Media
If you upload images, just a heads up: don’t include location info in them unless you want everyone to know your secret lair’s GPS coordinates. Anyone can technically download and poke around in that data.
Cookies (Not the Delicious Kind)
If you leave a comment, the site might ask to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so you don’t have to type all that in again next time. These cookies last a year, which in internet time is practically forever.
Logging in? We set a temporary cookie to test your browser’s cookie mood. No personal data inside. When you log in, we set up cookies to keep you logged in and remember how you like your screen. These last 2 days or more if you click “Remember Me.” Log out, and the cookies vanish like magic.
Publishing a post? A cookie stores the post ID. That’s it. It vanishes after a day.
Embedded Content
Sometimes we include content from other places (videos, tweets, cat memes, etc.). That stuff behaves exactly like it would on the original site. Those sites might track you, use cookies, and generally do their own thing. If you’re logged into those services, they might know you’re visiting.
Who We Share Your Data With
Basically, no one. But if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in that email. That’s just how the system works.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Leave a comment? It stays forever. (Unless I delete it or you ask nicely.) This helps us keep the conversation flowing. If you make an account, your info is stored in your profile. You can view, edit, or delete it any time — except your username. That one sticks.
Your Data Rights
If you’ve got an account or left a comment, you can ask for a copy of all your personal data. You can also ask to have it deleted. We’ll comply unless there’s a good reason not to (like legal stuff or basic security).
Where Your Data Goes
Comments may get checked by an automated spam-busting robot. It sniffs out sketchy stuff to keep the playground clean.
Questions?
Feel free to reach out via the contact form if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments on my excellent taste in pencil selection.
Thanks for stopping by NUEXGUY’S PLAYGROUND. Draw something weird, stay curious, and be kind.
